In the light, everything has a shadow. Because we have one light, the shadow falls on one side. But when the light comes from above, the shadow falls underneath the thing itself.

The more focused the light, the more the shadow takes its proper place, with no confusion or mixing between light and shadow.

The shadow is black. That tells us that however beautiful a thing is, its shadow is all the same: black, with no shape, color, or depth. It is stripped of every meaning of the thing’s existence.

Some things grow and some things shrink — all according to the light.

When will He shine on you with His light from above, and make everything in your eyes equally dark, so that His light alone has value and you take your value and your life from Him? Everything is in His light.

“God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.” — 1 John 1:5

By the way, you are the one who controls the light, because Jesus never forces Himself on anyone in any way.

When His light is focused, there is no room for any area between light and darkness. There is no gray.
